When we consider that the average lifespan for an Americans in 1900 was roughly 37 years of age, and by the year 2000, the average lifespan for an American was 76, and in the 2010 that number was over 78. So we have already been adding decades to the average life here in the Western hemisphere.
Then, why are we as a nation so afraid to put money into research that will understand, and then implement different methods which will slow or possibly even reverse the aging process itself?
This is a core question for a transhumanist such as myself to those who may have limited knowledge on the subject, or for those who just may be completely ignorant. Although the topics that transhumanism cover includes:
Genetics and Genetic Engineering
Space Exploration and Colonization
I will be uploading and discussing primarily books and educational resources related to the core concepts of transhumanism. An excellent introduction to the basic premises about Transhumanism can be found here: http://www.singularityweblog.com/a-transhumanist-manifesto/
