Virtual internship Week 8. Lubuto Library Project

I cannot believe it has been eight weeks already into the semester. I was able to turn in my first rough draft of the social media document. I look forward to revising and adding to it, in order for the document to serve an important purpose for the staff of the Lubuto Library Project. One of the more interesting segments of the document discusses the various social media platforms that are not currently being used, and a listing of the pros and cons for each one. As with any organization, some platforms will be increased, some will be dropped altogether, and some will also added in the future.

Secondly, I will be working with the president of the Lubuto Library Project in constructing the collection development policy. It will require considerable interaction between us to get the content of the policy to match what the organization is looking for. This aspect of the internship will take some time. After this is completed, I will be seeking out other ways in which I can help the Lubuto Library Project.

Anyway, short post this week, but just wanted to give everyone a head’s up on how I am progressing.

Until next time: Mucaale kabotu! (It means goodbye in Chitonga, one of the many languages spoken in Zambia!)
